Meet the Animals
-
Eli
Eli was surrendered by his owner when they were no longer able to care for him. Eli is 5 years old and has some moderate arthritis symptoms, but is otherwise healthy
-
Andy
Andy was surrendered by his owners when they were no longer able to care for him. He is a senior at 5 years old, but is in good health.
-
Piper
Piper transferred from Gardner's Pig Pen in early 2025. At nearly 8 years old, she is a super senior, but very active and happy. She has some dental issues that need regular monitoring, and a cyst we are keeping an eye on, but otherwise is in great shape!
-
Rupert & Neil
Rupert & Neil were part of a group of 14 guinea pigs abandoned in a box in a local park in early 2024. All of the guinea pigs were emaciated and suffering from scurvy (vitamin C deficiency). Rupert was covered in bite wound from the other males. His right eye was missing and the eye socket was severely infected. They both have permanent dental issues and require ongoing specialized care.
-
Chip
Chip was surrendered by her owner after her buddy passed away. She didn't want Chip to be lonely in her senior years. She has ongoing urinary issues and has difficulty maintaining weight. We are working closely with our veterinarian to keep her healthy.
-
Winnifred & Tabitha
Winnifred & Tabitha were found abandoned in a local park by a good Samaritan. All of the local shelters and rescues were full and couldn't take them in, so they found their way to me. They are now living out their senior years as a part of the sanctuary herd.
-
Cora
Cora was a true foster fail. She was a baby from the first pregnant mama I ever fostered. How often in rescue do you get to care for an animal from birth? I watched her being born, take her first steps, her first bites of food. She will live with me forever.

Earl Grey
I was walking through a local animal shelter, and locked eyes with Earl Grey. One of the volunteers introduced him to me, and I couldn't believe what a sweetie he was. He hopped right over to give kisses, and melted with pleasure for forehead rubs. I wasn't in a place to adopt and was confident that with his personality he would find a home quickly. 6 months later, he was still in that tiny metal cage at the same shelter. I couldn't take it anymore and brought him home. He needs regular dental care but is otherwise the perfect rabbit. Please don't overlook the red-eyed rabbits! They really do have the best personalities.
-
Juniper
I adopted Juniper from a local shelter. Like many red-eyed rabbits, she had been overlooked for a long time. She had been at the shelter for a full year, and on top of not having much interest due to her looks, she also needed an experienced adopter due to her feisty personality.
