At Running Out of Hay, adoption is simple, supportive, and friendly. Whether you are a first-time guinea pig owner or a longtime enthusiast, we are here to help you find the right fit.
How Adoption Works
- Browse available animals. View the guinea pigs below and use the contact page to ask any questions.
- Submit an application. This helps us learn more about you, your setup, and what kind of companion you are looking for.
- Get ready. Once your application is approved and your enclosure is ready, we will arrange the ownership transfer.
- Welcome your new guinea pig. At the transfer appointment, you will sign the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and ask any final questions.
Home delivery is available for adopters located in San Mateo County, San Francisco, Santa Clara County, San Leandro, Hayward, Castro Valley, Union City, Newark, and Fremont. If you are outside our service area, we will coordinate a pickup appointment instead.
